How do you clean the grill plates?
To clean the element plates on your George Foreman grill, simply wipe them down with a George Foreman sponge or with a warm cloth and a little cleaning detergent before completely drying. If preferred you may carry out this process whist the grill is still warm but not too hot to touch. For stubborn stains we would suggest you soak a piece of kitchen towel in a solution of lemon juice and then place this on the bottom element plate before closing the lid. Then, switch on the grill and heat for approx 2 mins or until the kitchen towel is dry (you may have to repeat this process if the grill is heavily soiled). However, this method of 'steam cleaning' the grill plates is handy if the grill has been left to stand for some time before cleaning, as it should loosen any stubborn food particles. It will also remove any unpleasant odours left behind after cooking fish etc. Finally, to finish off after cleaning and drying you may, if you wish, wipe over the element plates with an antibacterial wipe or spray.

The outer casing of my grill has become stained. How do I remove this?
Due to the very nature of the product some staining/discolouration of the enamel will occur and this is perfectly normal. The only advice we can offer is to ensure that the affected area is wiped over after every use with a non-abrasive cream cleaner in an effort to keep the discolouration to a minimum.

Can I cook bacon on my George Foreman grill and how long does this take?
Yes you can cook bacon on your grill but how long this will take depends upon your own personal preference and the thickness of the cut. We can only advise you to check that the food is cooked through before serving. To cook until the juices run clear and if in doubt to cook it a bit more.
-
